RSS Feeds
It is possible to monitor a RSS Feed (for example, from a blog or news site) using the RSS Feed option.
After you select RSS Feed, you must fill the URL field with the address of the RSS Feed that you want to monitor. All posts that will be published in the RSS Feed will be captured by Sentimonitor.
Attention: it is important not to confuse the URL to the RSS Feed with the URL to the site itself. The link you should use, when opened in the browser, should show the Feed XML tags. If the wrong URL is mistakenly registered, the RSS Feed will not be processed.
Note: the supported formats are RSS (versions 0.91, 0.92, 0.93, 0.94, 1.0 and 2.0) and Atom (version 1.0).
To obtain the RSS Feed address (witch in general, remains hidden inside the page) use a navigator extension to assist you. For example:
- Get RSS Feed URL (for Google Chrome)
- Get RSS Feed URL (for Mozila Firefox)
To use the Google Chrome version Get RSS Feed URL, just click on the extension’s icon in the upper corner and then click on Copy URL.
