Instagram - Business Accounts
If you have an Instagram Business account linked to a Facebook Page, you can monitor the account itself (photos, videos and Stories), comments on it, or Instagram hashtags. To monitor Instagram Business, you need to link SentiMonitor to your Facebook account, with access to the Page. To do this, access the Credentials menu.
Then click on New Credential, and select Facebook.
After adding a Facebook credential, you can monitor Instagram Business. To monitor profile posts (hotos, videos and Stories), add a search starting with @, followed by the name of the Instagram profile. To monitor a hashtag, add a search starting with # followed by the name of the hashtag.
Data Capture
Instagram allows the SentiMonitor platform to capture the following data:

✔️ Own account publications and your comments: it will be possible to capture the publications accessible through the Instagram Business credential. To do this, simply register a search with your account username (for example,
@ sentimonitor). To capture comments from these publications, enable the * Collect related comments * option. Comments on these publications will include the first and user name of the person who made the comment. -
✔️ Open and anonymous publications from other users with hashtag: you can register up to 30 hashtags of interest to capture publications made by other users. Publications with the hashtag will be captured, provided they are made by an account that is not private. Note that these publications will be captured with the author’s data anonymized, and will be aggregated in the same profile Instagram user.
In addition, due to Instagram’s privacy policies, is forbiden to capture the following data:

❌ Publications of an account that you do not have the access: it is not possible to capture, for example, publications made by a competitor of your brand.

❌ Private publications with hashtags: only publications accessible to anyone can be captured by searching for hashtags.

❌ Comments on open publications with hashtags: when capturing a publication with a hashtag, it is not possible to capture its comments. In this case, the option Collect related comments will be skiped. Still, you can view the comments directly in the publication by clicking on the option View Original next to the post within the platform.
